US Worries: Is Iran Using New Missiles to Hit Navy Ships?

There is very big and scary news about the war between the United States and Iran.

A famous newspaper, the Wall Street Journal, just reported some shocking new details. This news was also shared by Al Mayadeen as a breaking story.

What exactly happened? On Monday, Iran launched a second wave of attacks trying to hit US Navy ships. The good news is that no American ships were hit or harmed. But even though the ships are safe, the attacks have made leaders in Washington very worried.

Why is the US government so worried? The big problem is the type of weapons Iran is using now. Experts think Iran has much more advanced missiles. These new missiles are very smart. Weapons analysts say they might have special cameras, called "electro-optical seekers". This means the missile can look at pictures while it flies to find and hit a ship that is moving fast in the water. In the past, it was very hard for a missile to hit a moving target.

There is another huge worry for Washington. To use these smart missiles, Iran needs to know exactly where the US ships are hiding in the big ocean. US officials fear that other powerful countries, like Russia or China, might be secretly helping Iran track the American ships. This is a very big problem because it brings other countries into the fight.

Right now, the US and Iran are fighting a lot in the water. The US is trying to block Iranian ships, and recently the US hit three Iranian oil tankers because Iran fired missiles at a US aircraft carrier over the weekend.

In my opinion, this news shows that the conflict is getting much more dangerous every single day. The ocean is usually a place where big Navy ships feel safe because they can move away. But if Iran can now hit moving ships easily, the US Navy is in real danger.

If a US warship gets destroyed, the United States will fight back much harder. This could make the war grow out of control. It also shows that the world is dividing, with other nations maybe helping in the shadows. I hope the leaders can find peace before these new weapons cause a terrible disaster for everyone.
